WEEK 4 =23 MAY MON

Still not well little blog, have not been dieting, and also do not want to get on the scale cos am sure I will have put on some weight. I also do NOT want to record a gain in my weight. Cheating???? Maybe so, but it's better for me to see losses instead of gains, cos that's too disheartening.
This pneumonia has really knocked me sideway and have been delegated to staying home for ANOTHER week and ALSO have to have ALL the antibiotics again. That will be the 4th lot now. Didn't realize just how sick I have been. However the right lung is sounding better, am going to lung physio and also trying to fit in walking when I feel up to it.
I do need to cook up some more soups because they do help to keep down the weight and are also filling, especially in this cold weather.
Today we are having gale force winds, REAL gale force winds, 80-100km winds, so will be interesting to see how the day pans out.
SO I need to get myself back on track, now that I can spend a few hours out of bed each dayand slowly get moving again and also eating properly.
Give me a couple of days, and will then weigh in as well.
Till then little blog, fingers crossed I will be able to report back with good results.

WEEK 3 = MON 16 MAY =117.2 = LOST 2.8KG

Hello little blog.
I haven't visited you for a couple of days cos have been really sick. Pneumonia, and its too cold to sit in the garage typing....also don't feel up to sitting out of bed either.
Although I haven't as such watched what I have been eating, and have NOT done ANY exercising at all....on my back in bed or watching DVDs, I was pleased to see on Sat morning that I had lost a little more weight.
Always a loss = sooo much better than a gain.
Have had lots and lots of hot soups, and also had curry and rice on Sat nite, but then did not snack on much thereafter and being at home have had 3 good meals nicely spaced out during the day. So that helps too.
If I am feeling up to it might try and go for a walk in the midday sun today.
Until later....oh forgot to say that I am on heaps of antibiotics right now too....anyway will speak to you later little blog.
And yippeeeeeeee.......down by 2.8kgs!!!!!!!!!!

WEEK 2 TUES 10 APRIL

BRONCHITIS, FLU FEELING AWFUL.
Hello little blog. Well I'll be definitely spending another day in bed. Just toooo sick to even think of doing anything. Have now got the nasty headache and deep cough.
As far as the diet goes it'll be hot spicy asian soup all day...not too heavy, filling, warm and satisfying....and also low cal although that's not what I am focusing on now.
The draw back is that I have to cook some more soup which means go to supermarket and get more ingredients and then another hour cooking it ll. Just don't feel up to it but I also know it will be worth it.

WEEK 2, MON 9 APRIL = 117.6 = lost 2.4kg

Heloooooooo little blog. Well I haven't visited you for a couple of days cos so much has happened.
Firstly.....great news Sat morning after 1 week have lost 2.4kgs and am now 117.6kgs...have lost 2.4kgs, have lost 2.4kgs. Soooo happy.
Have been taking ALL my food with to work....sandwiches, fruit, slalds and on the long days chops and vegies. Already feel better spreading out the intake of my meals. But 2 sandwiches might be just too much cos have not been walking.

Now I am also sick.
Started with the sore throat, sneezing, runny nose etc and have now ended up with bronchitis. Swalowed sooooo many cold+flu pills, drank lemsips, you name it and it just got worse.
Then yesterday Mothers Day was feeling like death and ready to throw up at any minute. Called home to cancel any Mothers Day surprises, had to cancel my 2 days with my beautiful grandson ( yes am really feeling that bad), made it home only to find that my Schnooky and boyfriend S had made special salmon canapes, and a huge pot of hot steaming spicy asian soup, a bowl of so pretty tulips in vibd yellow in their own little bucket. Man did I feel so bad about that. I felt a real downright terrible mother to spoil their happy expectations.
But after canapes, some hot tea with honey and rum ( Big Omi insistant from South Africa that I have this) and the hot spicy soup it really did make me feel somewhat better.
THEN poor N went and stubbed her toe , but so badly that we thought it was broken. So off to med centre at 8.30pm, they gave her painkillers said no broken but xrays needed the next day or same night. Because it was so painful we all headed off straight to Hospital emergency and that was like a scene straight out of MASH. Sick and dying ALL OVER THE PLACE. I think everyone there had drips in them and sick bowls in frony of them. We left ASAP headed home, drugged N soem more and into bed. But before that we discovered all hot water bottles leaking and the kettle broke down too.
SDo this morning we got xrays done, toe is chipped and cracked, I have bronchitis and have antibiotics and puffer, got new kettle, new hot water bottles, made new large pot of spicy soup ate lunch and into bed with hot water bottle. Slept for 3hrs and woke 5pm.
Am feeling somewhat better in head but poor N is till very sore with throbbing toe and we get the full report of her toe tomorrow. But she wants to go to work tomorrow because of training, so will see how the day pan out.
Apparently the flu, bronchitis viraus thing is running rampant through the public together with throwingup and runny tums, so I will stay fixed to my bed, have lots of spicy soup, rum and tea, and stay in bed with hot water bottle. Until tomorrow....nite nite blog.

WEEK 1, DAY 6 THURS

OKAY I PROMISE TO BE GOOD TO AND WITH MYSELF TODAY.
NO SNACKING.
WALKING
I haven't walked properly since day 1. Far out, where is my resolve!!!!!!

Maybe it would also be a good idea to walk fast laps of the floor as well just to add some more walking.
Have lunch at work
Have 1 x sandwich at work.
Will take fruit.
Will take a salad.
Will not buy a wrap.

Have a long day from 11.30am - 9pm
Home at 10pm.
So be good.

WEEK 1 DAY 5 WED

Well it's back to work for me after having had almost 2 weeks off. Will be interesting to see how I go food wise, cos no lunch between 12 and 2pm. So lunch ends up being quite late and then you are soooo hungry that all good will goes out the door.
 So this is whats planned on the menu so far.

BREKKY
1 X BOILED TOMATO
2 X BOILED EGGS
2 X SLICE OF BREAD WITH BUTTER

11AM ON TRAIN
1 X SANDWICH OF WHITE FRENCH LOAF WITH ROAST BEEF CUCUMBER SALT AND PEPPER
1 X MANDARIN

LUNCH 2-3PM
1 X SCOTCH FILLET
1-2 CUPFULS MIXED VEGETABLES
CAN ALL BE HEATED IN MICROWAVE AT WORK

7-8PM DINNER ON TRAIN
1 X SANDWICH OF WHITE FRENCH LOAF WITH ROAST BEEF CUCUMBER SALT AND PEPPER
1 X ORANGE

The really hard thing is getting home at 8pm and then having a 2nd dinner. So I guess I need to scrap the 7-8pm dinner on the train and somewhere late afternoon have the orange to hold me until I get home.
There's a thought.
Will have to space out stuff...even leave the 2nd sandwich at work for tomorrow so cannot eat it on the way home.
Funny but as soon as I have to go back to work I wake with a headache. I DO work with some really mean nasty people, and no am not making this up. I am 56 yrs old now and last year was the 1st time in my life that I have seen the leering jeering cruel grin of a hyena duplicated on a humans face. Yes at work on a womans face, a colleague. It was directed at myself, I was sooo taken aback it stopped me in my tracks. Don't think I will ever forget that look.

This woman struts around all day with this permanent grin on her face ( yes I know we have to smile and greet all day) but it is a fake grin. Catch her in moments when she'a not thinking and there is a scowl on her face, no happy visage at all.She's also one who will happily always help someone elses customer with the intention of scoring herself another sale, and ofcourse the 1st sentance you get o here when back at work is "....I spent soooooo much time with them and soandso will vouch for that...". Instead of backing off someone elses customer, just doing the necessary helping out, or even helping out graciously, noooo this woman HAS to spend sooooooo much time with someone elses customers. She'll suck up to anyone with a title and pretends to be so busy playing with cushions all day inbetween stealing customers. She's plain devious.
Then there's a huge greek who only looks after herself. She'll stab you in the back before you have even turned around. And her favorite saying is "....I swear on my parents grave.....". Because she is a supervisor she gets away with murder and certainly takes advantage of it. Could write a massive list of the things she does....but .....Huge BO problems to the point where you have to run away before you throw up.
The gay wimp. Yep have got one of those. He'll try to steal your customer on the quiet and then flies into a temper when caught out. A real arse creeper this one, will do anything a manager asks of him and the minute the manager leaves he complains, grumbles and throws tantrums at having to do these things.
Oh man the list goes on.
There are 2 ladies I work with who are truely lovely people and it is a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to the days when we are rostered on together.


Hmmmmm didn't do so well again today.
Ate brekky.
Then on train at 10 ate 1 x sandwich that I'd taken with.
AT 2.15 went out for coffee and had a turkey wrap but it had a fair amount of cheese inside it and I felt quite gluggy after that.
On train home ate all my fruit.
Left lunch and 2nd sandwich at work for tomorrow.
But then got home ate 1 small chop with a huge amount of veggies.....
so far so good.
THEN ate a large bowl of icecream with crunched up biscuits and chocolate topping, and then 6 shapes with roast beef.
Just cannot stop the evening snacking. Damn damn damn.

WEEK 1 DAY 4 TUES

Poor Schnooky woke with a nasty headache and feeling fluey as well. So she's tucked up in bed asleep with painkillers. Poor girl.
Startde doing numbers nd letters with little J then the lawnmower man arrived and everything got halted to watch the lawnmower man!!!!!!

Gosh the day went sooooo quickly.
Had brekky
1 x boiled tomato
2 x soft boiled eggs
2 x slice of bread with butter

lunch
2 x slice of french white loaf with roast beef and capsicum dip spread
3 x teaspoons yoghurt left over from Munchy

diner
1 x lamb chop
lots of mixed vegies

evening snack
4 x twiggy meat sticks
1 x big bowl of icecream with curshed biscuits and chocolate topping

I dont think I snacked much during the day cos was busy with litlle Munchy in the morning, then did Coles shopping, gave Munchy lunch, I had lunch then slept for 2hrs with him. Woke at 4.30pm and then after wrapping Mother's day present, cleaning cat boxes, tidying up a bit it was time to get Munchy's dinner ready.
DId not do any walking today but was on the go all morning and then later on in afternoon again

MY RULES AND GUIDELINES

RULES
1. Only weigh ONCE a week.
2. Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
3. Walk every day.
4. 5 large servings of vegetables a day.
5. NO EVENING SNACKING


GUIDELINES
1.Increase walking distance/time every day
2. Food diary??
3. Clean out and tidy 1 x shelf/drawer every day.
4. Write on blog every day.

WEEK 1, DAY 3 MON

Sure didn't do well last night at all!!!! Whilst reading in bed I munched through a capsicum dip and 1/2 packet dorito chips, and then had about 10 Ferrero Rocher chocolates. DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!!
THAT IS THE REAL ME!!!!!!!!!!
Why oh why do I have to be sooooooo weak in the evenings?

Now day 3 has started. I slept in and didn't go for a walk cos I get my darling little grandson, J, for 2 days. I soooooo look forward to Mondays and Tuesdays when I get to look after him and we have heaps of fun.
So instead I got our own little"studio room" ready and set up the writing book, blackboard, numbers, letters, shapes and colours charts, pens and rulers.

My little Angel arrived and after brekky bath etc. we settled down to doing our numbers, writing, sounding letters, colours and shapes. He's starting to write "1" and "0" nicely between the lines now and learning to sound the ABC. Counting 1-10 very nicely and also recognising the numbers at random.
Then it was time to make Mummy a Mothers Day card which we did on a piece of balsa wood with a big red heart in the middle.
Then came the big fun of J being able to hammer in REAL little nails into the balsa wood with his own little wooden hammer. This is special and he created a helicopter, a plane and then randomly nailed pieces together. A real BIG BOY!!!!!
For brekky I had:
1 x boiled tomato
2 x soft boiled eggs
2 x slices Burgen Bread with butter

Lots of coffee and water in between
lunch:
a
1 x large helping of mashed pumpkin with other vegetables, mashed together in tomato juice. Almost like a pumpkin soup but not so runny.

dinner
1 x scotch fillet with vegetables same as yesterday.

WEEK 1, DAY 2

I worked really really hard today. Cleared out a lot of stuff from underneath the house and also trimmed back the rose bush. Now have thorns in fingers. Had a great dinner:
1 x fillet steak
done in frying pan  with heaps of veggies, + all done in sugarless tomato juice. Really yummy and am full.
Have so far had 6 glasses of water as well.
My legs and bones are all really sore from everything that I did today, but also feel good.
Now hopefully I can maintain discipline tonight, and loads of will power not to snack on anything bad.

So today I ate:
Brekky
3-4  slices watermelon

lots of coffee with full cream milk in between
grapes as nibbles throughout the morning
water

lunch:
1 x large slice zucchini, onion, feta cheese souffle
1 x large helping salad ( lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion) with a drizzle of vinaigrette dressing

lots of coffee with full cream milk in between

dinner:
1 x scotch fillet steak
done in frying pan  with heaps of veggies,( cauliflower, peas, beans, carrots, broccoli) + all done in sugarless tomato juice in the frying pan.
Let all simmer together until tomato juice reduces.
Salt and pepper.

sin time in bed:
1/2 packet Doritos chips
1 x spicy capsicum dip
10 x ferrero roche chocolates

I did have 8 glasses of water
I did walk today
I did not weigh today.
